#12: Listening Loud and Clear: Understanding How Listening Leads to Better Connections

To listen is to give attention to a sound, action, or communication. Listening is important in leadership, important in business, and so important in our personal relationships. Do you hear and do you understand what’s being spoken to you? Are you comprehending the full message that is being told? We could talk all day about what happens when listening fails… Because there’s miscommunications, misunderstandings, there’s high emotions or all kinds of negative things that happen just by our inability to truly listen.
In this episode, we are talking about listening skills. For many of you, listening isn’t something that you’ve been taught how to do. And many times the way we’re doing it isn’t the most effective. That’s the bad news. But the good news is, behaviors can be unlearned and improved.
